3 Tbsp. unsalted butter
3 Tbsp. flour
2 c. water (or 1 c. water + 1 c. pan drippings)
1 c. mushrooms, sliced
1 Tbsp. + 1 tsp. NOBULL Umami Mushroom Scratch Starter Concentrate
In a sauce pan, melt butter. Whisk in flour to make a roux. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until evenly mixed and roux darkens slightly. Whisk in water and NOBULL Umami Mushroom Scratch Starter Concentrate. Add mushrooms, stir well and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until all traces of starchiness are cooked off. Adjust seasoning as needed.
